Overview of module content
In this module the use of different types of moving equipment to stack, de-stack and position loads will be discussed. The impact of this equipment on productivity and the safe operation and inspection of the equipment are also included in the manual. It is important to note that before attempting this module you should be in possession of a valid driver’s licence for the specific type of moving equipment used to stack and de-stack loads in the workplace you are operating.
Guidelines for stacking loads on various surfaces and stacking limits on vehicles are listed and of vital importance for the operator of moving equipment. The consequences of incorrect positioning of loads on vehicles are discussed to emphasise the importance of following the prescribed procedures and guidelines.
