About the webinar
This webinar will straight forwardly unpack what we need to know about the brain, and the impact of early experiences on later life trajectories. It will provide a model that makes sense of how and why the people we work with might see and experience the world very differently, depending on factors such as their cultural background and their attachment relationships
We will examine what it is important to understand about memories, which kinds we should be working with and focusing on, in our work, and how we might do this.
We will in particular examine the impacts of early trauma, as well as neglect, and see how this shapes life experiences, including physiological outcomes alongside psychological ones. Participants will leave with a way of making sense of and engaging with their clients which opens up the possibility of effectively helping them
About
Graham Music
Graham has worked at the Tavistock Clinic in London for over 20 years, an internationally renowned NHS Foundation Trust which provides clinical services and trains therapists and other professionals.
He teaches child psychotherapy and other psychological therapy courses at the Tavistock Clinic, and supervises therapists.
He also leads training in child development, neuroscience and attachment theory, and has a particular interest in linking cutting-edge developmental findings with therapeutic practice.
